So I like to wash my hair as little as possible. I live in Colorado and I find that if I wash it every day, the ends are plain old crispy.
Also, it should be noted that it is May 1st and this is happening:
That is snow! Lots of snow! WTF!?!?! Colorado’s weather is DA-RUNK!
OK anyways back to my hair fail.
Yesterday, I wore my hair way up on the top of my head using one of those nifty hair bun things (total, $3 hair win) and I plastered the hell out of it with Elnet and Aussie “You Can Shine” hair spray. I think the reason my bun looked so good (sorry no picture) was that I used Osis Dust It texture stuff to get some poof before I put it up.
Well, Osis Dust it made day 4 hair really weird. Dust It is pretty sticky and eats oil like crazy! So this morning I woke up, having washed just my bangs yesterday, and thought… “It is snowing, I’m just going to braid my hair and get over it.” Alas, the Dust it made my hair super weird, so I attacked my head with Pssssssssssssssssssssssssssst Instant Dry Shampoo:
Normally, I love this dry shampoo. I let it dry, did my makeup, and brushed the dry shampoo through. Parted, fished-tailed, went to the bathroom to brush my teeth. Uh… um… what… when did my entire part go gray? Oh sh!t, dry shampoo fail. Here’s what it looked like:
So out came the braid I had worked so hard on and then A LOT of brushing with a boar bristle and my paddle brush. I moved my part to a place where I couldn’t see the white halo of dry shampoo and remembered this video I watched yesterday from Pameluxe one of the Allure Beauty Blog Finalist. Thank goodness for her. A little shine hairspray and a lot of bobby pins and I was out the door.
